Why Support Woodrow Wilson House?

The Woodrow Wilson House opened to the public as a museum in 1963, a testament to the devotion and foresight of Edith Wilson in preserving this home for posterity. We take our responsibilities seriously as stewards of this home, its garden and its collections. Donations to the Woodrow Wilson House help us succeed in this work.

In addition, we have a responsibility to educate the public about President Wilson and his legacy. President Wilson and his administration were a bridge between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. His legacy includes the League of Nations, women’s right to vote, the Federal Reserve System, and much more. The site also examines President Wilson's shortcomings, especially relating to race and civil liberties. An honest appraisal of history helps us understand ourselves as a nation and a people.

Thank you for your support of our mission.
