President Wilson House is a great backdrop for any type of production, photoshoot, interview or movie. Rent a part of this historic, elegant house or the entire historic house and gardens with stunning views.
This one-of-a-kind presidential residence features exquisite indoor settings and an expansive outdoor garden. Film crews have multiple backgrounds to choose from: library with a Steinway Concert Grand Piano, drawing room with historic gifts of state from around the world, a historic kitchen, solarium, large Georgian style dining room and butler’s pantry, and outdoors - terraces, balconies, grand staircases, a charming fountain and much more.
Outdoors: an expansive lawn, terraced gardens, a fountain, and Juliette balcony. Built for Henry Fairbanks by famed architect Waddy Butler Wood in 1915, and then purchased by President Wilson and his wife Edith upon leaving the White House, the house has remained perfectly preserved as it was in 1924. A perfect time capsule.
The historic site and its gardens boast modern amenities (high-speed Internet, air conditioning, and parking) while maintaining the grand mystique and marvel of a post-presidential residence.
The property has four stories, and four bedrooms (two are converted to offices). Each room features a carved mantelpiece and gracious historic proportions. An entry cloakroom has lockers. A large gallery is available for set up, wardrobe, make up area, exhibition space or meals. Easy loading area, storage space for equipment. The historic site is very private on a beautiful tree-lined street in the beautiful Kalorama neighborhood of Washington DC. Kalorama means “beautiful view” – and this site won’t disappoint.
