Celebrate at Wilson House
Whether it's a graduation, wedding, engagement party or milestone occasion, the Woodrow Wilson House offers an elegant setting for your special event. Customized to fit the specific vision of each party, we can accommodate your requests! Our options range from an intimate private dinner for 12, a seated event in the garden for 100 or a cocktail reception for 200 guests.
You and your guess will feel welcome in our private and sophisticated spaces, furnished with the personal effects of a president. Conveniently located just five blocks from Dupont Circle, the Wilson House is a celebrated historic site, ideal for your wedding or reception.

An Urban Oasis
In addition to the authentically furnished museum rooms, Wilson House offers the use of the fully restored garden and a tiled terrace. Designed in 1915, the historic Garden offers three different levels, graduating in size. The Terrace with its rooftop view is perfect for cocktails. The Upper and Lower Gardens allow for dinner or ceremony seating.
Tenting is recommended as a rain plan for all events that exceed the museum's interior capacity (120 standing or 36 seating)
Full Size Receptions & Dinners
Larger events feature cocktails in the Museum and on the Terrace with other elements of your celebration in the Garden. The Lower Garden, a classic 1920's "Garden Room," provides seating space for a dinner of 120 guests or a ceremony of 140 guests., while the Upper Garden works well for dancing and has access to the Terrace with its rooftop views.
Mid-Size Receptions & Dinners
Mid-sized events of 51 - 70 guests have the greatest flexibility and are ideal for the garden. The Upper Garden provides ceremony space for up to 70 guests and can be cleared for dancing. The Lower Garden accommodates dinner seating. Or seat your ceremony on the Lower Garden and spread out your cocktails and dinner on all three levels.
Intimate Weddings
Ideal for an intimate, exclusive wedding; gather in the Drawing Room for an elegant ceremony surrounded by elaborate gifts of state and objects from the White House. Explore the rest of the museum during cocktails before celebrating your marriage with dinner in the Presidential Dining Room. The Terrace and Garden are also available in good weather.
