Ellen Axson Wilson: American Impressionist Family Art Workshop

Join Artist/gilder William Adair of Gold Leaf Studios for a day of family art fun at Woodrow Wilson House. Participate in a frame gilding and painting workshop with materials supplied by the Prince of Wales Foundation Artisan Training Program.

In the morning, each student's frame is gold leafed with the help of their parent, followed by a box lunch and an outdoor watercolor painting workshop in Woodrow Wilson House’s historic garden. After the art work is placed into the finished frames, lemonade will be served at the art opening for visitors and friends, following the workshop.

Limited to 10 parent/child pairs. Ages 7-12 $60 per family, boxed lunch included. Members receive $10 discount. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The 1915 Georgian Revival home is filled with the original furnishings and memorabilia of our 28th President of the United States, Woodrow Wilson.
